The Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST)
Wootton-By-Woodstock school was founded by the Reverends Parrott and Lee in the 18th century and, for many years ran as a Voluntary Aided denominational school. The Parrott and Lee Educational Foundation still, in part, support the school financially but, on 1st October 2018, Wootton-By-Woodstock Primary School became an academy as part of the ODST.
The ODST is a Multi-Academy Trust serving 5,000 pupils and is affiliated to the Oxfordshire Diocesan Board of Education. The ODST is the employer of staff, controls pupil admissions and has the overall vision for its member schools but many duties are delegated to the local Governing Body and the Head Teacher. Although becoming an academy has changed management behind the scenes, for parents and pupils, the school remains much as it was; a place to learn, have fun and grow skills for adult life.
